Jesus gave the disciples AUTHORITY. (Matt. 10:1) He sent them out among this world to go and gather the lost sheep and to proclaim the message of the gospel. He said to them: "I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be a shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. Be on your guard." But when they are persecuted, "do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but he Spirit of your Father speaking through you." (Matt. 10:20) Jesus told them not to be afraid. He said: "What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, PROCLAIM for the roofs. Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destory both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father's care. And even the very airs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than mnay sparrows."
I am a disciple.
In Him, I have authority.
I am to be on my guard, and allow the Spirit to speak through me.
Through me, He will reach those who are lost.
I am to proclaim His truth.
I will not be afraid, because I am valuable and always in His hands.
It's all for Your glory.
I pray that You work through me so that I may continually impact Your kindgom and that I do not step over kindgom moments.
I'm so in love with You.

Rita Springer sings ALL I NEED TO (DO IS WORSHIP)
All I need to do is worship
All I need to do is say His name out loud
All I need to do is lift my hands, surrender
And bow down
All I need to do is find Him
All I need to do is let His presence fall
All I need to do is worship
Worship the Lord
When there's no way out
Except through a miracle
When there's no way up a mountain
Except to climb it
When everything you hope for
Seems gone
And every dream you've dreamed
Is so far away, that's when I say
All I need to do is worship
All I need to do is say His name out loud
All I need to do is lift my hands, surrender
And bow down
All I need to do is find Him
All I need to do is let His presence fall
All I need to do is worship
Worship the Lord
"When Jesus saw the crowd around him, he gave orders to cross to the other side of the lake. Then a teacher of the law came to him and said, 'Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.' Jesus replied, 'Foxes have dens and birds have nests but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.' Another disciple said to him, 'Lord, first let me go and bury my father.' But Jesus told him, 'Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead." (Matthew 8:18-22)
I don't want anything of this world. I rise every day only to follow You, even if the cost is EVERYTHING. You gave up everything for me and you have rescued me from my sin so that I may have eternal life. How can I not give up everything for You? Why am I holding back? Why am I settling for where I am right now? Materialistic things are of no importance (I'm tired of caring about the little things that ultimately have no importance, especially my physical appearance. I have been so convicted of that recently, Lord. Forgive me.) I may even have to sacrifice being with my friends and family if that is Your will. I may be called to a place where I know no one and all I have is You. There is no other option than to follow You. If I'm going to follow You, I want to do so whole-heartedly, and I WILL do so because it is YOUR will. Is this supposed to be easy? No. You have said that there will be many hard ships and trials, but nothing that I cannot bear. Thank you for that God. Thank you for the strength within me that comes from You alone. I need You. You said that I am to go into the world and preach the Gospel. I am to show others who You are because You are in me. I just want some much more from You...I desire to know You on an even deeper level. Reveal more of You to me through Your Word. I'm so desperate for You. I have been so humbled lately because of how you have shown me how much I need You. All the GLORY goes to You, Abba. Sometimes I feel like I am called to missions. Am I, God? If living for You is all that matters, why am I here going to college? Why can't I just spend all my time studying Your Word and being in Your presence so that you can flow through me and reach the souls of the lost? If it is Your Will, I would love to work within the U.S or even overseas and just LOVE people and reveal to them who You are. Isn't that all that counts? Faith expressing itself through love... I would love to take in families living in poverty and take care of them. I would love to be gracious to them. I would love just hold children who haven't been shown affection. I would love to feed the malnourished...not only with food in the physical, but in the Spiritual sense as well. I would love for their pain to be my pain. I would love to just reach out and see how they see so that I can help them see how You see. I would love to be placed outside of my comfort zone. I would love to do it ALL for You, reguardless of what it costs. I want to sacrifice everything for You in my life. I just want to be radical for you, God. Lead me, Father...
You are the reason for everything. I would not be here without You. I am nothing wihtout You. Reveal to me Your specific calling on my life God. I feel so clueless sometimes.
Let nothing be of myself. Humble me. Cleanse me. Renew me.
Fill me up so that You can flow through me to the world because I am the LIGHT of the world...so that they may see my heart & good deeds and glorify You.
Thank you for Your Mercy, Your kindesss, Your guidance...
Thank you for your UNFAILING Love.
Thank you so much for Your Son.
I love you with ALL my heart, Jesus.

Why do we settle for less than what we deserve?
So often, we settle for less than what God has available for us...His BEST. We settle for the ways of the world that are no where near as valuable in comparison with the ways of the Lord. As C.S Lewis said in The Weight of Glory: "If there lurks in most modern minds the notion that to desire our own good and earnestly to hope for the enjoyment of it is a bad thing, I submit that this notion has crept in from Kant and the Stoics and is no part of the Christian faith. Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased."
I pray that I stop settling for less.
Show me Your perfect ways, Father...
You are the ONLY Truth and the Way.

Galatians 5:6 says that "The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love." If I have the faith of a mustard seed, nothing will be impossible for me. I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me. I am called to be free and in that freedom I am to serve others humbly in love...walking by the Spirit. I have to allow the fruits of the Spirit to shine through me, disreguarding the acts of the flesh. In order to do this, I have to be in tune with my Source, spending time soaking in the Word and receiving His guidance. I have to stand firm and not become weary of doing good because "at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." There is a world surrounding me in darkness. How can I not care about those around me? How can I walk around each day as if everything is okay? I feel the pain of those suffering. I see a broken world, people who so desperately need to know that they are forgiven and LOVED! This reminds me of a Jeremy Camp song, "Give Me Your Eyes So I Can See". As a generation, we need to see how God sees. We are missing so much. We are called to reach out through faith and show love through our deeds.
I pray for faith like that of Abel, who was commended as righteous. I pray for faith like that of Enoch, who was commended as one who pleased God. I pray for faith like that of Noah; he was warned about things he had not yet seen, and in holy fear he built the ark to save his family. I pray for faith like that of Abraham, when called by God, he went and recieved an inheritance, regardless of the fact that he didn't know where he was going. Through faith, Sarah was blessed with Isaac, which "came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore." And so on...
I pray for that my Father ignites a fire within me for the people that are lost. I pray that God's Will be done in my life here on earth...that opportunities arise so that I can share my faith. I pray that He can use me to make the slightest difference, to help others come to know Him.
"When all the love in the world
Is right here among us
And hatred too
And so we must choose
What our hands will do
Where there is pain
Let there be grace
Where there is suffering
Bring serenity
For those afraid
Help them be brave
Where there is misery
Bring expectancy
And surely we can change
Surely we can change...Something"
